Now the new release of eePLC Studio 1.6.0 supports drives with Canopen interface.
| eePLC Studio programming interface is now available for CANbus interface drives. The advantages of this new release, which allows fully programmability of all SW and SM1A drives with CANbus interface in a CANopen fieldbus network, compared to a Modbus serial network are:: - communications between the axles without the need to include PLC/HMI in the network (see diagram below); - high-speed data transmission (up to 20 times faster than in a Modbus network); - better immunity to noise on the communication line; - increased execution speed of your custom eePLC program; - possibility to control others CANopen devices, such as inverters, remote I/O, etc.. ![]() All SW and SM1A drives with CAN interface can be upgraded to the new c0390 or c1390 configurations and the license owners of previous version of eePLC Studio can require upgrading to the new release 1.6.0 compatible with Canbus drives. The comunication beetwen Pc and drives requires a supported CAN to PC adapter. Please note that all application programs written with eePLC in Studio 1.5.9 and previous version for Modbus drives are fully compatible to CANopen interface drives.
Software and cables kits SW1_CANBUS-EE-EE and SM1_CANBUS are available for an easy setup and programming of SW and SM1A c0390 and c1390 CAN bus drives through eePLC Studio software enviromnent.
