Stepper drives

For more than 45 years, Ever Elettronica has been developing and producing internally intelligent stepper motor drives, suitable for all types of applications.
Based on extremely innovative full digital technologies, our stepper motor drives are also UL and STO (Safe Torque Off) certified and are open to all major fieldbuses - such as EtherCat, ProfiNet , Powerlink, Modbus TCP, Canbus.

The drives, with open-loop f4d2 technology and closed-loop servosteps for torque, speed and position, are configured as high-end sinusoidal vector stepper drives.
Taking full advantage of the dynamic characteristics and positioning accuracy of stepper motors, they improve the performance of conventional stepper motor drives by offering the user versatility, ease of installation and management, and optimised efficiency.

ProfiNET, born to be the heir of Profibus, it based over Ethernet and its main aims are the project and plant commissioning costs reduction through an easy integration between the automation Ethernet-based devices and the Siemens devices.

EtherCAT is a fieldbus which meet the need of a standard high performance industrial communication protocol based on an Ethernet network. EtherCAT is currently considered the fastest industrial Ethernet solution.

Modbus is a communication protocol among the most widely used standards in the world of industrial devices. All our devices equipped with a serial interface (RS232 or RS485) implement and support the Modbus RTU protocol.

The Modbus TCP/IP fieldbus, based on Ethernet hardware, was born as an evolution of the classic Modbus RTU fieldbus. Modbus TCP/IP communication protocol allows multiple masters to connect to the same slave.

Ever Elettronica has been one of the first companies in the world to implement and validate the CANopen protocol and the DSP402 on its drives for stepper motors and brushless motors, starting from the early ‘90s.

CANopen is a standard communication protocol widely used in the industrial automation fields. First developed for use with CAN fieldbus, it has also been applied to other types of fieldbuses such as Ethercat CoE.

Profibus DP is a protocol for industrial automation field, with an high data exchange rate (up to 12Mbit) and it’s a very popular fieldbus in systems with Siemens and Omron PLCs. Ever Elettronica introduced support for the Profibus DP protocol in 2004.

Ever Elettronica programmable drives represent something new: they integrate a real PLC on the drive to be able to create complex automations with a single device.

Thanks to the ELSE technology integrated in the Ever Elettronica’s drives motors current control is so high that vibrations, resonances and noises don’t exist anymore.

The innovative f4d2 technology allows the motor’s excitation at high efficiency chopper thanks to the calculations speed for the current regulation performed by the drive's microprocessor and thanks to a proprietary patented algorithm.
