The SM Enhanced series is a family of Full Digital drives with integrated motor having advanced motor control functions for the control, in SM2A series, of torque, velocity and position, also in closed loop by means of an integrated encoder.

This line is composed of:

SM1A: motor, encoder and intelligent drive in one single device, controllable through fieldbus CANBus (c0300 firmware) Canopen protocol or serial interfaces (firmware c0400) with Modbus-RTU protocol or the drive can be completely programmed by the user (firmware c0390, c1390, c0490 or c1490) by means of the eePLC Studio development environment.

SM2A: motor, encoder and intelligent drive in one single device, controllable through fieldbus CANBus (c0300 firmware) Canopen protocol or serial interfaces (firmware c0400) with Modbus-RTU protocol. Alternatively, the already prepacked versions of the SM2A series can execute special applications (firmware c03xx and c04xx) also in ‘standalone’ mode. Depending on the drive version, the parameters can be set through a PC Windows software interface or the drive can be completely programmed by the user (firmware c0499) by means of the ATOMIC development environment.
